Hilton Paris Opera Hotel - Located beside the Saint Lazare train station in the Opera District. The bar, Le Grand Salon, was one of the best hotel bars I have ever been in!
What To Do
Visit the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and The Louvre Museum
The easiest way to see these attractions is by taking the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour around the city on your first day. It helps you get acclimated to the city and you get wonderful views of all the main attractions. From there you can buy tickets for the Louvre Museum (worth it!).
Versailles Palace and Gardens
I recommend buying tickets in advance as it gets VERY crazy here. It is a little bit out of the city so booking a tour is crucial to getting there and back easily.
Eiffel Tower and Parc du Champ de Mars
